about
In loving memory of our friend Anne May Dansereau, 1958-2017.

One of the difficult things about living in a foreign country is not being home for life events like birthdays, holidays, weddings, funerals, etc. Yesterday in Rhode Island there was a memorial service for Anne Dansereau, a teachers' assistant at my high school. High school was not an easy time for me, and honestly, I credit my survival partially to this amazing lady who showed me love and patience in spite of my bad attitudes. Her obvious love for Jesus and for the students was a bright light that gave me encouragement in difficult times. Over the last years we reconnected, and she and Dave became friends to me and Irene in a new way, still showing that same love and support she showed me back in high school.
Mrs. Dansereau was always supportive of my attempts to be musical, and I entered a singing contest with the song "Precious Lord" when I was about 17. I lost the contest. But when Mrs. D passed away unexpectedly a few weeks ago, I remembered this song and Irene and I decided to record and make a short video for the memorial service, since we could not be there in person.
In addition, a lot of our friends have lost loved ones lately, and we hope this song can be a small comfort for some of you as well.
Peace and Love

lyrics
Precious Lord, take my hand,
Lead me on, let me stand,
I am tired, I am weak, I am worn;
Through the storm, through the night,
Lead me on to the light:
Take my hand, precious Lord,
Lead me home.
When my way grows drear,
Precious Lord, linger near,
When my life is almost gone,
Hear my cry, hear my call,
Hold my hand lest I fall:
Take my hand, precious Lord,
Lead me home.
When the darkness appears
And the night draws near,
And the day is past and gone,
At the river I stand,
Guide my feet, hold my hand:
Take my hand, precious Lord,
Lead me home.
